Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roberto Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bregan Union!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim scores with a body shot.
Kim throws a big shot that misses.
Union flicks out a counter leg kick but Kim steps away.
Kim attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Union jabs Kim to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Bregan Union seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kim falls off balance throwing a combination
and Union cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kim ducks under a wild hook from Union.
Kim misses the shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kim. Union does a little dance to reset his feet.
Union throws out a counter right but Kim avoids it with no problem.
A slow jab from Union misses its intended target.
Union scores with a shot to the body.

Kim lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Union at a distance.
Kim cracks Union with a right hand to the side of the head.

Union tries to close the distance and clinch but Kim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bregan Union is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Union looks to land a left hand but Kim moved out of range nicely.
Kim lands with an overhand left.


It looks like Bregan Union has been cut.
A jab lands there for Kim.
Kim fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kim throws a hook to the side of Union's head but Union sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Union fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kim manages to avoid it.

Kim has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Red House in the buildup to the fight.
Kim buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Kim throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Kim jabs Union right on the nose. Union blinks but takes it well.

Union throws a body shot but no joy.

Union waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kim.
Kim misses with a hook.
Union swings widly with a right hand
and Kim counters with a straight right hand.
Union uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kim.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kim darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kim fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Union rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Union takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kim shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Union is trying to defend but Kim finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Union is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kim in particular looking to stall.

Kim throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kim looks to land a strike but Union avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Union trying to keep a closed guard but Kim is proving a slippery customer.
Kim loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Union is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Roberto Kim will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Bregan Union's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kim throws a hook but Union blocks it.
Union gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kim connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Union momentarily.
Union checks a low kick from Kim.
Union looks to score with a jab to the body but Kim is just out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Kim misses the target.
Kim takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kim doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Union pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kim tests Union's chin there with a solid looking shot.


That has opened up Bregan Union's cut even more.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kim looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kim throws an overhand right that lands on Union's shoulder, as Union tries to avoid the shot.
Union bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kim's head backwards.
Union uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kim has time to react.

Kim is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Union.

Union lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.


Kim is rocked!
Union connects with a body shot that sends Kim's belly button to the back.
Oh Kim is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kim throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Union counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bregan Union!
A very excited looking Bregan Union made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
In defeat, Roberto Kim stepped up to the mic, saying 'HOOOODOOR!'.
