PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anes Bradic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scat Muncher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anes Bradic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scat Muncher!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Muncher avoids it really well and circles away.

Muncher darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Muncher keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Bradic is looking to control Muncher's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bradic avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bradic is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Muncher scores with a couple of nice shots.
Still in half guard, Muncher seems content to control.
Muncher should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Muncher's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Bradic is trying to stand back up but Muncher is controlling him

Muncher takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Muncher has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bradic trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Muncher is taking a breather. Bradic says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Muncher.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sloppy strikes from Muncher. Those never looked like landing.

Muncher manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bradic on his heels. He'll look to pass Bradic's guard now, I'm sure.

Bradic is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Muncher is aware though and is defending well.

Muncher is working for a submission of some sort.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Muncher content to control rather than advance.

Muncher wants to work for an arm triangle but Bradic is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Muncher in particular looking to stall.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scat Muncher dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Muncher thumps Bradic with a low kick.
Bradic shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Muncher pinned against the cage. Muncher gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

You can see the frustration on Bradic's face as Muncher controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scat Muncher has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bradic's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Bradic is looking to improve his position but Muncher isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Muncher cracks Bradic with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scat Muncher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bradic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Muncher sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bradic's guard.

Muncher has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bradic is looking to control Muncher's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bradic avoid being mounted?

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Anes Bradic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Muncher shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bradic is trying to defend but Muncher finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Muncher perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Scat Muncher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Muncher has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Scat Muncher was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
