The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Brown misses its intended target.
Brown keeps the fight on the outside.
Quinn throws a push kick but Brown slaps the foot to one side.

Brown looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Quinn is looking to improve his position.
Brown wants to pass the guard but Quinn is defending well.
Brown not doing much here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown is still trying to improve position.
Brown is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Brown is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Quinn has managed to free his arm - good work.
Brown looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Quinn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Quinn is trying to maintain the position but Brown is very close to passing his half guard.
Brown is looking to advance position but Quinn won't allow it.
Brown is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Quinn makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Quinn.
Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quinn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brown slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Brown is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Quinn is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea.

It looks like Brown might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brown's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quinn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brown postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Brown lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Brown instigates a clinch.

Quinn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Quinn tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brown smiles and moves away.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Brown as Quinn tries to tie him up.
Quinn wants to get back to striking at distance but Brown won't allow it.

Brown manages to break the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Brown breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Brown moves into range and clinches up with Quinn.
Brown has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Quinn wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Brown pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brown.
Brown throws a sloppy head kick and Quinn moves out of range easily.
Mantice Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brown keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Brown misses with a wild combination.
A decent looking cross lands there for Brown.

Brown darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Brown controlling the pace.
Brown is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Quinn!
Quinn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Brown controlling from mount.
Brown pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Brown has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Brown lands a big shot to the head and Quinn winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
