Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nickolas Ware!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stephano Johnarino!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnarino fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ware seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Johnarino clinches with his opponent.
Ware really is a fat lump.
The referee is keeping an eye on Johnarino - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ware tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Johnarino avoids it.
Johnarino manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ware stands and steps away. Johnarino gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Johnarino has a closed guard, preventing Ware from standing up.
Johnarino has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ware has passed into side control.

Johnarino wants to control but Ware is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ware looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnarino with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Ware lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Ware tries to stand but can't do so whilst Johnarino controls his leg.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Johnarino is trying to maintain the position but Ware is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nickolas Ware will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Johnarino shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnarino showed some decent athleticism there.

Ware has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Johnarino. Oh but Ware has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Johnarino goes limp - he's gone! Ware jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
