Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Obrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lesnar Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leonardo Obrien!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lesnar Brock!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brock instigates a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Brock's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Obrien tries to pull guard but Brock forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Brock prevents a takedown attempt there.
Obrien has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Brock after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonardo Obrien. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Obrien wants a takedown.
Obrien is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Brock pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Brock wants to break the clinch but can't.
Obrien changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brock fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A punch combination from Obrien misses.
Brock shoots in for a takedown but Obrien shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Obrien could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Obrien has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brock is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Obrien tries for a takedown. No joy.
Obrien keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Brock's efforts to push away.
Obrien dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Brock pulls guard.
Obrien is standing up over Brock. Brock looks to escape but Obrien dives into side control.
Brock is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Obrien has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Brock wants to control but Obrien postures up.
Brock pushes Obrien away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Obrien gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Obrien decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Brock has Obrien up against the cage in a clinch.
Obrien is trying to drag Brock to the mat but Brock just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Obrien wants to take the fight to the mat but Brock manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Obrien has Brock pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Obrien pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Brock tumbling to the mat - Obrien dives into Brock's guard.
Brock is controlling Obrien's posture.

Brock is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Obrien tries for a takedown. No joy.
Obrien wants a takedown.
Obrien has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Brock after a bit of a struggle.
Obrien is breathing heavily.

Brock tries to break the clinch but Obrien is controlling the position.
Brock tries to pull guard but Obrien won't allow it.
Brock is trying to break free.
Obrien changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brock fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Obrien tries to clinch there but Brock circles away.
Brock is trying hard to land a takedown here. Obrien sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Obrien went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Brock dives in for a single leg takedown but Obrien sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Brock moves into the clinch.

Brock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brock shoots in for a takedown but Obrien shows good takedown defense.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Obrien keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
No joy there for Brock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lesnar Brock dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Brock with a poor takedown
and Brock takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Brock swats away the attempt to clinch by Obrien.

Brock tries to sprawl but Obrien drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Brock kicks Obrien off and gets back to his feet.

Brock takes the fight into the clinch.
Obrien drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brock pulls his leg out and moves away.
A punch combination from Brock misses.
Brock throws a series of punches but Obrien moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Obrien blocks a low kick nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brock wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Brock pivots, looking for a leg kick but Obrien is out of range and Brock settles back down.
Brock swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brock misses with a few strikes there.
Brock slaps away a takedown attempt from Obrien, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Brock misses with a wild body shot.

Brock clinches up with Obrien and pushes him back against the cage.
Obrien can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonardo Obrien. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brock wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Obrien is looking for a takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Brock tries to break the clinch but Obrien is controlling the position.

Obrien keeps control of Brock as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Brock is trying to break the clinch but Obrien is controlling him.
Brock is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Obrien wants to take the fight to the mat but Brock manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Obrien gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Brock.
Brock stops a takedown attempt from Obrien.

Obrien has hold of one of Brock's legs. Brock is fighting the takedown attempt but Obrien gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Brock has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Obrien off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brock darts in and clinches Obrien up against the cage.

Obrien tries to stall but Brock uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Obrien has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brock avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Brock has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Obrien looking for a takedown.
Obrien has Brock pressed against the cage, preventing Brock from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Brock wants to get back to striking at distance but Obrien won't allow it.
Brock looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Brock has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Brock tries to break the clinch but Obrien is controlling the position.
Obrien has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Brock after a bit of a struggle.

Brock breaks the clinch.
Obrien goes for a double leg but Brock avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Brock continues to drive forward.

Brock lands a left and a right that send Obrien crashing to the mat, dazed. Brock thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Obrien is rocked!


It looks like Leonardo Obrien has been cut.
Brock dances in with a quick combination. Obrien is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Brock snaps Obrien's head back. Obrien stumbles backwards against the cage. Brock steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Obrien's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Obrien just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lesnar Brock!
In his post fight interview, Lesnar Brock started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
