The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haffie fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Koltun, pushing him back against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Koltun lands with a left to the head.
Koltun scores with a shoulder strike.

Koltun digs a right hand underneath Haffie's ribcage. Haffie let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Koltun swings wildly with an uppercut but Haffie uses good head movement to avoid it.

Haffie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Haffie throws a series of punches but Koltun moves out of range.
Koltun looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Koltun throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Haffie clinches up with Koltun and pushes him back against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Haffie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Koltun lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Haffie backwards.
Haffie is trying to drag Koltun to the mat but Koltun just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Haffie just misses with a elbow thrown towards Koltun's brow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
