The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Hammer counters with a single leg into guard. Bones didn't expect that.
Bones wants to stand but Hammer is controlling the position.
Hammer throws a big elbow that misses.
Hammer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Hammer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Hammer.
Hammer pushing down on Bones's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Hammer landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hammer lands a nice short elbow.

Hammer frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hammer lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

It looks like Barry Bones has been cut.
Hammer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

That has opened up Barry Bones's cut even more.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hammer cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Barry Bones's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
