Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikel Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris ForeSkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ForeSkin has his takedown stuffed
and Roman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
ForeSkin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Roman counter with a right hand.
ForeSkin shoots and misses
and Roman counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mikel Roman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris ForeSkin.
ForeSkin throws a wild body kick that Roman sees coming a mile off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

ForeSkin takes the fight into the clinch.
Roman blocks the elbow strike.

ForeSkin tries to work over Roman's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Roman has ForeSkin pressed against the cage, preventing ForeSkin from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
ForeSkin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Roman pulls guard.

ForeSkin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Roman looking to hit a scissor sweep but ForeSkin is one step ahead there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
ForeSkin is pressing down on Roman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Roman is holding on for now.
Roman holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Roman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for ForeSkin on the ground.

ForeSkin is working for a submission of some sort.
Well, if ForeSkin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Roman has a hand on ForeSkin's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. ForeSkin takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
ForeSkin avoids the attempt from Roman to control.

ForeSkin is cranking Roman's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Roman! He's tightened the choke and Roman is tapping out!
