The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stone is defended easily by Krueger.

Stone shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Krueger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stone drops back looking for a leg! Krueger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Krueger manages to kick Stone off! Stone jumps back into Krueger's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone chips away with some ground and pound.
Stone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stone is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Krueger with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stone to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Volt Krueger has been cut.
Stone tries to close the distance and clinch but Krueger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Krueger avoids the head kick by Stone.
Stone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Krueger as he avoids it easily.
Stone fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Krueger misses with a few strikes there.

Krueger stuffs the takedown attempt from Stone. Stone gets slowly back to his feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Krueger! But no joy.

Stone goes for a takedown in the clinch but Krueger prevents it.

Krueger gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Stone wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Krueger manages to pass to side control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Krueger taking a breather but there's no such thing in a fight! Stone has locked on to a kimura from the bottom - he uses it to sweep and is now looking to finish from the top position! He's got it! Krueger has tapped! Great work by Stone! Lay and pray doesn't pay, kids! Just remember, you heard it here first.
