Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soul Jah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Redfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jah comes to the cage accompanied by Bob Marley - Buffalo Soldier. Redfield has chosen False Alarm as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Soul Jah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Redfield!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Jah is predictable there
and Redfield counters with a straight right hand.
Redfield blocks a head kick by Jah.
Jah definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Soul Jah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jah avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jah throws a series of punches but Redfield avoids them all with ease.
Some wild striking there from Redfield.
Jah is looking to counter with a body kick.
Jah takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jah misses with a combination
and Redfield counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jah scores with a push kick.
Nice body punch from Redfield.
Redfield has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jah.

Redfield throws a big shot that misses.
Redfield uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jah.
Jah throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jah scores with a spinning back kick!
Jah looks to land a combination but Redfield avoids it well.
Redfield tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jah was well out of range. Poor timing from Redfield.
Jah wants to clinch.
Jah misses with a low kick.

Jah tries to close the distance and clinch up but Redfield swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jah darts in and clinches Redfield up against the cage.
Jah throws a knee to the head but misses.
Jah cracks Redfield with a nice body shot.
Redfield taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Jah - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Redfield wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jah scores with a nice hook to the head.
Redfield tries to break the clinch but Jah is controlling the position.
Jah throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Jah pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jah tries to work over Redfield's front leg with a kick but Redfield checks it.
Redfield lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jah scores with a push kick.
Redfield takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Jah scores with a jab to the jaw.
Redfield tries to land a body kick
and Jah counters with a solid body kick.
Redfield looks winded!
Jah lets loose with a powerful body kick. Redfield will feel that in the morning.
Jah plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Redfield gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Redfield falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jah counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Jah stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Jah scores with a push kick.
Jah misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jah throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jah tries to clinch up
and Redfield counters with a nice uppercut.
Jah uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Redfield.
Redfield misses with the body kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Redfield is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jah.
Jah looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Redfield misses with the combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Soul Jah dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Redfield gets tackled into the cage by Jah. Jah maintains the clinch.
Jah keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Redfield's efforts to push away.
Redfield is trying to break free.
Jah keeps control of Redfield as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Jah gets through Redfield's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Redfield has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Redfield with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Redfield takes a knee to the side of the body.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Jah.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Redfield is breathing heavily.

Jah tries to land a knee to the head but Redfield blocks with his arms.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Jah here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Jah connects with a nasty looking knee right to Redfield's face.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jah.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Nice body punch from Jah - that landed with a thud.
Redfield being controlled against the cage.

Redfield has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Jah.
Jah is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jah is leaning against Redfield and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Jah misses with a knee to the head.
Jah lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Jah stalls.
Still in the clinch, Jah scores with a nice short uppercut.
Jah tries a knee to the head but Redfield blocks it.
Jah gets through Redfield's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Jah's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jah lands the left hand.
Redfield tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jah was well out of range. Poor timing from Redfield.
Jah lands with a cross.
Jah ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Redfield takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Good shot there by Jah.
Jah thows a body kick. Redfield tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Soul Jah is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jah lands a big head kick that sends Redfield tumbling to the mat! Jah takes a step backwards and waves Redfield back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Redfield is rocked!


It looks like Chris Redfield has been cut.
Jah throws a sloppy head kick and Redfield moves out of range easily.
Redfield throws out a counter right but Jah avoids it with no problem.
Redfield is still on wobbly legs! Can Jah finish him?
Jah rushes Redfield and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Redfield is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Jah piles on the pressure and Redfield crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Soul Jah!
A very excited looking Soul Jah made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Chris Redfield had this to say: 'The End is Near. No Scratch that, I think it's here.'.
