Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Fadzaev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Walter Frost!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost misses with a straight right.
Fadzaev throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Frost stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Frost with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fadzaev to score with a decent uppercut.
Fadzaev tries to clinch there but Frost circles away.

Fadzaev lands with a short shot to the head.
Fadzaev is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Frost pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Fadzaev is struggling to control the position.

Frost is trying to force a seperation but Fadzaev has the dominant position.

Fadzaev throws a sloppy head kick and Frost moves out of range easily.
Walter Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frost lands a right hook to the body.

Fadzaev walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
We've been hearing reports that Fadzaev has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Frost fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Frost swings for the body but Fadzaev moves out of range.

Fadzaev closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Frost pushes Fadzaev off and gets back to his feet.
Frost throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Frost just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromFadzaev.
Frost lands with a shot to the body.
Frost feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fadzaevs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Frost missing with a left hand there. Fadzaev was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Frost lunges at Fadzaev with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Fadzaev's hand.
Fadzaev lands a nice looking body kick.
Nice body punch from Frost.
Fadzaev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Frost manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Frost misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fadzaev.
Fadzaev tries a head kick but it misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Frost darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Frost swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Frost cracks Fadzaev with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


Fadzaev is rocked!
Frost takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Oh Fadzaev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Frost scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fadzaev seems to have got his legs back now.
Fadzaev avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Frost avoids a kick to the body.
Fadzaev takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Frost is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Fadzaev rather than just go for the knockout.
Frost takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The fighters circling - Frost throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Fadzaev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Frost.
Frost fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fadzaev looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Frost takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fadzaev takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fadzaev swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Fadzaev works the jab nicely.
Frost takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fadzaev defending well as Frost loads up on a big left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walter Frost dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Fadzaev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Frost dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Frost throws out a loose jab but Fadzaev uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Fadzaev counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fadzaev.
Frost is trying to break the clinch but Fadzaev is controlling him.
Frost is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Fadzaev takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Frost has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Frost! But no joy.

Oooooh!!! Frost has knocked Fadzaev down with a huge combo! Frost steps away and waves a wobbly Fadzaev back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Frost is still on wobbly legs! Can Fadzaev finish him?
Fadzaev pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Frost looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Frost seems to have recovered his senses.
Good shot there by Fadzaev.
Fadzaev throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Frost's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Fadzaev dives in looking to finish as Frost flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Fadzaev's strikes! Fadzaev is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Frost's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Frost was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alan Fadzaev!
In his post fight interview, Alan Fadzaev started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
