Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lon Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Siete Finess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lon Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Siete Finess!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finess throws a right and a left that both miss.
Siete Finess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Finess drives through with a takedown into guard.
Finess lands a couple of digs.
Finess pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hogan is keeping the position for now.
Hogan controls Finess momentarily but Finess frees himself.
Finess postures up and lands a big shot to Hogan's brow.
Finess trying to control the position from guard on top but Hogan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hogan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Finess controls the pace.

Let's hope that Finess has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Hogan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Finess working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hogan's head.
Hogan can't keep his opponent in guard - Finess advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Finess is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hogan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Finess.

Finess is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hogan is just riding it out for now. Finess eventually gives up the hold.

Finess content to control rather than advance.

Finess winds up and cracks Hogan with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Finess is working for a submission of some sort.
Hogan wants to control but Finess is keeping busy.

Finess is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hogan is staying active underneath Finess, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Finess is looking for a kimura but Hogan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Finess to get the leverage.

Finess is pressing down on Hogan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hogan is holding on for now.
Finess scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Finess is trying to control the action in half guard but Hogan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Finess wants to free his trapped foot but Hogan is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Finess seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Siete Finess dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Finess closes the distance and pushes Hogan back into the cage.
Hogan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Finess gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Finess lands a left hand.
Hogan can't break the clinch.
Hogan goes for a takedown attempt but Finess pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Hogan gets tackled into the cage by Finess. Finess maintains the clinch.
Hogan is working for takedown but Finess is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lon Hogan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Finess ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Finess no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Finess is on top in guard.

Finess lands with a punch from half guard.
Finess is nestled in close to Hogan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.


Hogan is rocked!
Finess not doing much here.
Finess working over Hogan with some ground and pound. Hogan looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Oh Hogan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Finess content to control rather than advance.
Hogan seems to have got his legs back now.
Finess working the head and body with strikes.
Hogan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Finess's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Finess's back!
Finess has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Finess is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hogan gets his way!
Hogan doesn't have the hooks in and Finess manages to turn into his guard.
Finess has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Finess stands up from guard. Let's bang!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Finess has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hogan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Finess wants the takedown. Hogan is fighting it off but Finess persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hogan's guard against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Finess postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Finess advances to half guard.
Still in half guard, Finess seems content to control.
Finess lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Hogan! More strikes land and this one is all over! Finess jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Siete Finess!
