And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Eddie Armstrong!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sullivan gets tackled into the cage by Armstrong. Armstrong maintains the clinch.
Sullivan stops a takedown attempt from Armstrong.
Armstrong misses with a hook from the clinch.

Sullivan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Armstrong throws a big elbow that misses.
Armstrong with a nice head shot there.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Armstrong working his ground and pound in the gym.
Armstrong trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sullivan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Armstrong throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sullivan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sullivan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sullivan is looking to stand up but Armstrong isn't so interested in that idea.
Armstrong is working Sullivan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Armstrong postures up in Sullivan's guard and throws a big left but Sullivan blocks it.

Armstrong trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Armstrong is still trying to improve position.
Sullivan wants to sweep here but Armstrong controlling him for the moment.
Armstrong scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Armstrong won't allow Sullivan to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Armstrong lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Armstrong won't allow Sullivan to sweep him here.
Armstrong is in close to Sullivan's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Armstrong stands up over Sullivan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Armstrong throws a big right hand that misses.
Armstrong stands and throws Sullivan's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Check out the look on Armstrong's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Armstrong prevents Sullivan from escaping the position.
Sullivan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Armstrong cracks Sullivan with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Sullivan is trying to buck Armstrong off.
Sullivan is trying to control Armstrong's posture but Armstrong avoids it.
Sullivan tries to bench press Armstrong off him but Armstrong keeps the position.
Armstrong working away.
Sullivan takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Armstrong lands some shots froms side control.
Armstrong scores with a couple of short elbows.


Sullivan is rocked!
Armstrong advances to mount.
Oh Sullivan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Armstrong postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Sullivan in real trouble here! The ref calls for Sullivan to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie Armstrong!
