The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrett gets a clinch.
Ngannou is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Ngannou is trying to break the clinch but Barrett is controlling him.
Barrett drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Barrett manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Ngannou throws a strike but Barrett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ngannou preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ngannou wants to reverse the position here. Barrett has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Ngannou is forced to tap! Ngannou looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
