Pope takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mani Pakiau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pope takes a swing at Pakiau's ribcage but misses.
Pakiau falls off balance throwing a combination

and Pope counters by moving into the clinch.

Pope turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pope manages to end up in side control.
Pakiau is looking to get back to his feet here but Pope is keeping cool and he's managed to take Pakiau's back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Pope has managed to slip his arm under Pakiau's chin. This could be all over... yep, Pakiau is tapping out! Submission win for Pope.
