Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Chernishev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Honey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chernishev comes to the cage accompanied by MC Hovanskiy - Father in the building. Honey is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Higher Love. Hugh Honey has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Chernishev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hugh Honey!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing that Chernishev has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Honey enables Chernishev to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Honey manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Chernishev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Honey with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sergey Chernishev.
