PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Collin Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quavo Huncho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huncho comes into a darkened arena with his song building. T-Shirt - Migos kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Quavo Huncho enters the cage!

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huncho thows a leg kick but Velasquez checks it
and Velasquez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Huncho closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Velasquez to the mat! Velasquez manages to get full guard.

Velasquez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Huncho defends it easily.
Huncho must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Huncho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Velasquez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Huncho is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Velasquez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Huncho wants to pass the guard but Velasquez is keeping the position.

Velasquez makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Huncho moves into the clinch successfully.

Huncho gets control of Velasquez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Huncho will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Huncho is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Velasquez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Huncho wants to stand and escape but Velasquez is having none of it.

Huncho has his foot on Velasquez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Velasquez works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Velasquez really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

Huncho is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Velasquez is aware though and is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Velasquez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Velasquez tries to score a body lock takedown but Huncho shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Velasquez has Huncho pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Huncho manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Huncho wants to break the clinch but can't.

Velasquez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Huncho gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Huncho lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Velasquez hang on?

Velasquez flails away from the bottom, looking to strike but he's give an arm to his opponent... uh oh. Huncho wraps up the arm in an instant and pivots for an armbar! Tap or snap time - Velasquez decides to tap! Lovely submission by Huncho!
