The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenova swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Martin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jenova was well out of range. Poor timing from Martin.
Martin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Martin scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Martin lands a glancing blow to the side of Jenova's head.
Martin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jenova throws out the jab.
Martin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Martin looks to land a right hand but Jenova moved out of range.
Martin jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Martin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jenova on the side of the head.

Jenova looks to land a right hand but Martin moved out of range.

Jenova swings wildly with an uppercut but Martin uses good head movement to avoid it.

Martin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jenova takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Donk. Martin catches Jenova right on the button with a cross.
Martin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Jenova tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Martin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jenova has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Martin steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jenova. That one must have hurt.
Martin just misses with a punch to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Martin takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Jenova connects with a right hand. Martin shakes it off.
Martin misses with a body shot.
Jenova ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Martin moves away.
Jenova looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Martin moves out of range of the body kick.
Jenova misses with a head kick.
Martin with a hook.
Jenova throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Martin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jenova avoids it really well and circles away.

Jenova misses with a body shot.
Martin throws a one two combo.
An inside leg kick lands from Jenova.
Martin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jenova circles away quickly and effectively.

Jenova bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Martin! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Martin is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Martin is still in real trouble! Can Jenova finish him?
Jenova wants to control from the top but Martin keeps moving.
Jenova postures up in Martin's guard and throws a big left but Martin blocks it.
Martin seems to have recovered his senses.
Jenova throws a big elbow that misses.
Jenova is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Jenova throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Martin has momentary wrist control but Jenova slips an elbow through the middle.
Jenova throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Martin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jenova accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jenova wants to pass the guard but Martin is keeping the position.
Jenova trying to control the position from guard on top but Martin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jenova throws an elbow that misses. Martin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jenova's guard. Nice move by Martin!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jenova looking for a sweep. Not yet Jenova, not yet.
Jenova lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Jenova controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kenith Jenova will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Martin has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Martin tries to bum rush Jenova with a series of wild strikes but Jenova uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jenova dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jenova lands a big head kick that sends Martin to the canvas! Jenova follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
