Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalunga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sparrow sprawls well. Sparrow wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kalunga gets slowly back to his feet.
Kalunga shoots and misses
and Sparrow counters with a one-two to the body.
Sparrow has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Shinto Elite MMA Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Kalunga misses with a few strikes there.
Kalunga shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Sparrow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kalunga on the ground.

Kalunga lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Sparrow quite badly. Sparrow pulls Kalunga in close trying to recover. Kalunga postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Sparrow on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Sparrow doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kalasa Kalunga!
