Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Teddy Salazar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Hayles!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Topper Green and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Hayles misses
and Salazar counters with a left to the body.
Hayles tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Salazar swivels and escapes.

Hayles is trying to control Salazar's posture but Salazar avoids it.

Salazar decides to stand back up. Salazar steps back and let's Hayles get back to his feet.

and Salazar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Salazar has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hayles is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hayles goes for a takedown attempt but Salazar pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Teddy Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Hayles.

Hayles drives through and clinches with Salazar against the cage.

Salazar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hayles misses with a takedown attempt
and Salazar counters with a nice uppercut.

Hayles darts in and clinches Salazar up against the cage.
Salazar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hayles can do to turn this around?

Hayles breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hayles shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salazar pinned against the cage. Salazar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The referee is keeping an eye on Salazar - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Salazar is trying to force a seperation but Hayles has the dominant position.

Salazar manages to break the clinch.
Hayles defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Salazar.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hayles is defended easily by Salazar.

Salazar gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hayles to score an easy takedown into full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

John Hayles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close second round but I would say that Teddy Salazar will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Salazar is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hayles rolls with it to try and escape but Salazar cranks on the arm and Hayles is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
