Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shovel Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Balfour Darrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knight comes into the arena with X Gon' Give It To Ya blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darrow moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Knight feints and then cracks Darrow's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Darrow down.

A bone on bone clash there as Knight blocks the leg kick.
Knight throws a hook to the side of Darrow's head but Darrow sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Darrow buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Knight stalks Darrow and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Darrow's face. Darrow staggers backwards, shaken.
Left hook, right uppercut from Darrow.
Knight tries to score with a low kick but Darrow moves his leg out of the way.
Knight connects with a crisp jab.
Knight lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Darrow is rocked!
Balfour Darrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darrow gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Knight gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Darrow is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shovel Knight!
