Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jade Amoroso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Krylov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amoroso's entrance music is Doh Wah Diddy - Fun Factory. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jade Amoroso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sergei Krylov!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krylov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Amoroso's coaches at Combate Gym 🇧🇷 have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Amoroso is looking for a sweep. Krylov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Krylov tries to pass the half guard into mount. Amoroso knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Krylov is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Krylov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Amoroso swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Krylov throws a big right hand that misses.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Krylov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Amoroso to the mat! Amoroso manages to get full guard.
Amoroso has his hands on Krylov's head, controlling the position.

Krylov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Amoroso looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Krylov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like Krylov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Krylov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Amoroso has control of Krylov's left arm, preventing Krylov from doing any damage.
Krylov controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Amoroso is trying to control the position but Krylov postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Krylov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Amoroso sprawls well initially but Krylov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Krylov is taking a breather. Amoroso says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Krylov wants to pass to mount but Amoroso is defending the position.
Amoroso is positioning himself well to prevent Krylov advancing to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Krylov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Amoroso wants to get back to full guard but Krylov has mounted him!
Krylov cracks Amoroso with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Amoroso is trying to escape the mount.

Krylov lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Krylov lands a couple of good shots and Amoroso has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Krylov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Krylov has the hooks in. Amoroso is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Let's hope that Krylov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Krylov connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Amoroso to escape the position.

Krylov is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Amoroso defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Sergei Krylov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Krylov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Amoroso on his heels. He'll look to pass Amoroso's guard now, I'm sure.

Krylov throws a strike but Amoroso rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Krylov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Amoroso. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Krylov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Amoroso has gone for a leg lock! Krylov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Amoroso's guard.

Sergei Krylov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Krylov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
