Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Obrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seaj Vrinzwal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seaj Vrinzwal looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leonardo Obrien!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Seaj Vrinzwal!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obrien throws a leg kick but Vrinzwal sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Vrinzwal looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Horrible takedown attempt by Vrinzwal or perhaps it was just good defense by Obrien, which made it look bad.

Obrien shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vrinzwal is trying to defend but Obrien finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Obrien connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Vrinzwal some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vrinzwal on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Obrien is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vrinzwal's half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Obrien stands up and beckons Vrinzwal to his feet.

Obrien throws a series of punches but Vrinzwal avoids them all with ease.

Obrien closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vrinzwal did well to prevent Obrien getting side control.

Leonardo Obrien overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Obrien has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Obrien.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Obrien has Vrinzwal pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Obrien pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Vrinzwal tumbling to the mat - Obrien dives into Vrinzwal's guard.
Vrinzwal is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Obrien dives into side control.

Vrinzwal takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Vrinzwal looking for a sweep but Obrien has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Obrien forces the positional change into back control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Obrien throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Vrinzwal!

Obrien lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Vrinzwal looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Obrien is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Can Vrinzwal hold on?! Obrien is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Vrinzwal is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
