Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Blair Hatfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skeeter McGillicutty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blair Hatfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Skeeter McGillicutty!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGillicutty tries to bum rush Hatfield with a series of wild strikes but Hatfield uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hatfield feinted with a counter takedown.

McGillicutty shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McGillicutty showed some decent athleticism there.
Hatfield really is a fat lump.
Still in half guard, McGillicutty seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hatfield is trying is best to control the position here.
Well, if McGillicutty is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGillicutty tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

McGillicutty misses with a two punch combination.

McGillicutty moves into the clinch.

Hatfield is trying to push McGillicutty away but McGillicutty has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

McGillicutty has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hatfield is trying to keep an underhook but McGillicutty manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Hatfield manages to escape and get back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McGillicutty swats away the attempt to clinch by Hatfield.

McGillicutty changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hatfield looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

McGillicutty throws a strike aimed at the side of Hatfield's head but Hatfield avoids it well.

McGillicutty stands up and beckons Hatfield to his feet.

McGillicutty has taken the fight to the clinch.

Hatfield jumps guard and drags McGillicutty to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
McGillicutty is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
McGillicutty seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hatfield had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McGillicutty defends it easily.

McGillicutty decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Hatfield fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Hatfield tries to pull guard but McGillicutty won't allow it.

McGillicutty not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

McGillicutty distracts Hatfield with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
McGillicutty has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hatfield is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

McGillicutty is looking for a sweep. Hatfield is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hatfield wants to take a breather but McGillicutty is having none of it.

McGillicutty has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hatfield can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hatfield manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. McGillicutty keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

McGillicutty manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
McGillicutty takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hatfield seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McGillicutty for as long as he can get away with.

Hatfield tries to score a power double leg takedown but McGillicutty sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hatfield somewhat.

A little jabbing left from McGillicutty on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
McGillicutty tries a head kick but it misses.
A clash of legs there as Hatfield blocks the low kick.
Hatfield blocks a leg kick.
Hatfield drops down looking for a counter takedown but McGillicutty sprawls and moves away.
Hatfield fails with an attempt to clinch.

McGillicutty shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than McGillicutty was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
McGillicutty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hatfield keeps working.
McGillicutty wants to stand but Hatfield has his arm trapped.

McGillicutty stands up.
Hatfield keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

McGillicutty is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Hatfield manages to get to full guard.

McGillicutty drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hatfield manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McGillicutty has Hatfield in his guard.

Hatfield wants to stand but McGillicutty has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Skeeter McGillicutty is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Skeeter McGillicutty.
Well McGillicutty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
