The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Parsons counters with a crisp one two that drops Quinn! Parsons thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Quinn to his feet! Quinn is in big trouble!
Parsons looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Parsons rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Quinn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Parsons will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Quinn has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Parsons after a bit of a struggle.

Parsons bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Quinn's head backwards.

Spencer Quinn's cut is getting worse.
Parsons misses with a jab, cross combination.
Parsons's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Parsons duly obliges.
A low kick from Parsons is predictable there

and Quinn counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Parsons has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Quinn is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Parsons wants to get back to striking at distance but Quinn won't allow it.
Quinn is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Parsons is trying to break the clinch but Quinn is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Quinn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Parsons's guard.

Parsons scrambles and gets back to his feet.

A combination from Parsons does no damage.
Parsons misses with a leg kick.
Quinn gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Quinn tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Parsons is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Quinn buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Quinn!! Quinn is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Parsons throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
