The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murata lands with a straight right. Christianson didn't see that one coming.
Christianson gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Murata counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Murata throws an overhand right that lands on Christianson's shoulder, as Christianson tries to avoid the shot.
Murata fails to land with a series of punches.

and Murata takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Ryota Murata has been cut.
Christianson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Murata connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Christianson scrambles back to his feet.
Murata throws out a loose jab but Christianson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Christianson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Oh Murata is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Murata lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Christianson circles away quickly and effectively.
Murata seems to have got his legs back now.

Murata swings for the body but Christianson moves out of range.
A head kick by Christianson - that's a beauty! Murata is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Christianson can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
