The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valuev misses the jab.
As Valuev tries to get set, May tries to push him back and clinch up but Valuev manages to avoid the attempt.
Valuev throws a combination that misses
and May holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
May content to slow the pace in the clinch.
May gets control of Valuev's arms and successfully pulls guard. May will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Valuev won't allow May to sweep him here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
