Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Denis Holder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Andrews!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holder closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Holder lands in his opponent's guard.

Andrews manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Holder as Andrews shoots in.

Andrews clinches up against the cage.

Andrews lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Holder manages to escape and get back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Andrews swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Holder counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Holder shoots in for a takedown but Andrews shows good takedown defense.
Andrews wants to counter the offense by Holder and move into the clinch position.

and Andrews counters with a three punch combo that has Holder backing up. Holder nods at Andrews to acknowledge the strikes.

Andrews clinches with his opponent.

Andrews has Holder pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Andrews pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Holder tumbling to the mat - Andrews dives into Holder's guard.

Holder is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Andrews presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Andrews changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Holder fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Andrews leaves Holder with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Holder. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Andrews lands with a slapping head kick.

Andrews moves into the clinch successfully.

Holder pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Holder fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Andrews wants to counter the offense by Holder and move into the clinch position.
Holder shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Andrews as he avoids it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Andrews lands with a kick to the temple. Holder shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


Holder is rocked!


It looks like Denis Holder has been cut.
Andrews circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Holder drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Andrews follows Holder to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Andrews!
Joe Andrews bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
