Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickey Bean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jak Wesley!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wesley rushes Bean and presses him up against the cage.

Wesley manages to pull guard.
Bean could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wesley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bean throws a strike but Wesley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wesley prevents Bean from getting back to his feet.

Wesley wanted to stand there but Bean had control of the position.

Bean closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wesley's guard.

Wesley is looking for a triangle but Bean pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bean postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wesley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Wesley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bean defends it easily.

Bean stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Wesley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bean but Bean pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bean changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wesley fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Wesley successfully pulls guard.

Wesley uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Bean forces Wesley back against the cage and clinches.

Bean throws an elbow that misses. Wesley uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bean's guard. Nice move by Wesley!

Wesley looking to sit in guard and control but Bean gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bean loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bean lands a couple of digs.

Bean chips away with some ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wesley manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bean manages to get himself to full guard.

Bean is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wesley defends well.

A close round but Jak Wesley will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Wesley counters with a series of strikes. Bean will be more careful next time no doubt.
Wesley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wesley pulls Bean in close to his closed guard and prevents Bean from doing any damage or advancing position.

Bean stands up over Wesley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Wesley has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Bean is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Bean is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wesley can't fight it off and eventually Bean manages to take the fight to the floor. Wesley looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Wesley is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Wesley goes for a takedown attempt but Bean pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wesley gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Bean is looking to stand back up but Wesley counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bean.

Wesley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bean as he jumps to the side.
As Wesley tries to get set, Bean tries to push him back and clinch up but Wesley manages to avoid the attempt.
Jak Wesley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rickey Bean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jak Wesley.

Wesley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wesley is looking to advance position but Bean has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Jak Wesley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Bean closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bean seems to be working for a kimura but Wesley defends the submission attempt.
Bean is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Bean not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Wesley is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bean scores with a couple of nice shots.
Wesley wants to control but Bean is keeping busy.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bean postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bean doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Wesley counters by clinching up.
Wesley wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bean has him pressed against the cage.

Wesley is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Bean presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Bean tries to score a body lock takedown but Wesley shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Wesley tries a knee to the head but Bean blocks it.

Wesley moves into range and clinches up with Bean.
Bean tries for a takedown. No joy.

Wesley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wesley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A head kick misses from Wesley.
Wesley leaves Bean with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Jak Wesley.
I've got Wesley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
