And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, William Burns!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Burns. No joy for Business on that attempt.

Nice sprawl there from Burns as Business shoots in.
Business shoots in looking for a takedown but Burns manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Business's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monkey Business. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Business shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Burns pinned against the cage. Burns gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Burns fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.


It looks like Monkey Business has been cut.

and Burns counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Business manages to avoid it.
Business moves away from the strike by Burns.
Business shoots in looking for a takedown. Burns tries to sprawl out of it but Business keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burns manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Business goes for a double leg but Burns avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Burns continues to drive forward.

Burns sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Burns is defending against the submission attempts here by Business.
Burns wants to improve his position but Business is controlling well.
Burns trying to hold on to Business's head to control him but Business postures up.

Business is looking for a kimura but Burns is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Business to get the leverage.

Business is pressing down on Burns's thigh, looking to free his foot. Burns is holding on for now.

Business is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Burns is just riding it out for now. Business eventually gives up the hold.

Business thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burns's head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Business is keen to just control but Burns is a slippery customer.

Business is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Business looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Burns with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Burns is looking for a sweep. Business is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Business is working for a kimura but Burns is defending it quite comfortably.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Business in particular looking to stall.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Burns is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Burns manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Business manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Business wants to hit a switch here but Burns passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Business there!

Burns lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Business in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Business can't escape the position.
Burns lands a big shot there that rocks Business but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.


Monkey Business's cut is getting worse.
Oooh a big shot lands for Burns! Business is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). William Burns!
William Burns was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
