Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between All American (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Buchanan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Buchanan's choice of entrance music: Wait and Bleed. All American had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Buchanan!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for American.
American tests Buchanan's chin there with a solid looking shot.

American tries to buck Buchanan off but Buchanan is having none of it.
American is working hard here to advance position.

American is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Buchanan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
American is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. American gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. American gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. American apologises and we restart here on the feet.

and American connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from American. Those never looked like landing.
Buchanan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
American looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buchanan is fending him off so far but American persists. Nope, Buchanan circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for All American. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Buchanan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent American stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
American takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

American takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
American throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Buchanan.

Buchanan lands a head kick that stumbles American and the fighters go to the mat.

Paul Buchanan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

American isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Buchanan stacks American on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Buchanan!

Buchanan is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. American is trying to escape and Buchanan transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and American is forced to tap! Nice work there by Buchanan! Very nice indeed!
