Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Damien Hellsfyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damien Hellsfyre had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hellsfyre throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vader's waist but Vader gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hellsfyre off to one side.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hellsfyre or perhaps it was just good defense by Vader, which made it look bad.

Vader lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vader, as that shot connected.
Vader throws a body shot but no joy.

Jab, jab by Vader - just one landing.
Vader throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hellsfyre changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vader tries to avoid it but Hellsfyre manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vader to the ground. Vader escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hellsfyre.

It looked like Hellsfyre wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vader has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Vader ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hellsfyre moves away.
Hellsfyre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vader pinned against the cage. Vader gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hellsfyre on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hellsfyre tries to get out of the position.

Hellsfyre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vader swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vader is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Vader is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Vader gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Vader gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Vader apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Well Vader has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
