Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Barret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saiyan Southbrook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saiyan Southbrook told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wayne Barret!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Saiyan Southbrook!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Southbrook ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barret moves away.
Southbrook throws a shot from downtown. Barret moves away and avoids it.
Barret cracks Southbrook with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Saiyan Southbrook has been cut.
Southbrook tries to clinch there but Barret circles away.
Barret keeps the fight on the outside.
Barret looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Southbrook keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Barret.
Southbrook looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A lazy left from Barret finds it's target.
Barret throws a hook to the side of Southbrook's head but Southbrook sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Southbrook moves away from the strike by Barret.
Southbrook looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Southbrook fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Barret looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Southbrook has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Southbrook ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Barret ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Barret throwing a counter right hand but Southbrook manages to avoid it.
Southbrook fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Barret checks it well.
A looping hook to the body misses from Southbrook. Barret does a little dance to reset his feet.
A swing and a miss from Southbrook.
Barret was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Southbrook thuds his shin into the meat of Barret's side.
A chopping leg kick lands by Barret.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Southbrook connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters circling a little - Barret finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Southbrook is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Barret throws out a loose jab but Southbrook uses good head movement to avoid it.
Southbrook misses with an uppercut. Barret saw that one coming.
Southbrook misses with a wild body shot.
Southbrook blocks a jab.
Barret jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Barret throws a wild body kick that Southbrook sees coming a mile off.
Barret takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Barret uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Southbrook.
Barret throws a body kick that misses.
Southbrook cracks Barret with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Southbrook scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Barret fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Southbrook on the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Southbrook cracks a nice hook into Barret's ribs.
Barret throws a low kick, looking for Southbrook's leg but Southbrook calmly moves out of range.
Southbrook swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Southbrook staying out of range there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nice takedown defense from Barret. No joy for Southbrook on that attempt.
Southbrook throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Barret throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Southbrook to counter with a crisp jab.
Barret is rocked!
Southbrook finds Barret's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Barret flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Southbrook lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Barret will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Saiyan Southbrook!
Saiyan Southbrook really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Humanoid Nutrition (160Q for 180$) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
