Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yolo Romero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Judah Cenabre!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
We've been told by Romero's head coaches at Phoenix Fight Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Romero uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cenabre.
As Cenabre tries to get set, Romero tries to push him back and clinch up but Cenabre manages to avoid the attempt.
Cenabre misses with the body kick
and Romero connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cenabre on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Cenabre moves to clinch but Romero breaks away
and Romero makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Romero has managed to clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Romero creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Romero lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cenabre backwards.
Romero blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Romero lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cenabre backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Romero scores with a shot to the side of Cenabre's head.

Romero misses with some punches.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Romero.
Romero misses with a short punch on the inside.
Romero misses with a hook from the clinch.
Romero throws a punch but it's blocked by Cenabre.
Cenabre blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Cenabre seems to have recovered his senses.
Romero creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Cenabre with a big uppercut! Cenabre tries to clinch up but Romero pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Cenabre to the mat! Cenabre covers up and Romero unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Yolo Romero!
In his post fight interview, Yolo Romero started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
