Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fred Jivinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jivinen comes to the cage accompanied by SpaceGhostPurrp - Make Her Say (Dark R&B) (IntoXXXicated). Stevens has chosen Johnny Nash - "Stir It Up" as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fred Jivinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevens looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jivinen is trying to control but can't.
Stevens prevents Jivinen from standing back up.
Jivinen wants to get back to full guard.
Stevens is controlling the pace.
Jivinen trying to hold on to Stevens's head to control him but Stevens postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stevens is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jivinen sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stevens trying to mount his opponent but Jivinen defends it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stevens.
Jivinen throws a sloppy head kick and Stevens moves out of range easily.
Stevens feints the counter takedown.

Stevens fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jivinen to the ground. Stevens is now in Jivinen's guard.

Stevens trying to control the position from guard on top but Jivinen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jivinen wants to sweep here but Stevens controlling him for the moment.
Jivinen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Jivinen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stevens sprawls well. Stevens wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jivinen gets slowly back to his feet.

Jivinen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Stevens lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jivinen bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Jivinen drops back looking for a leg! Stevens is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stevens manages to kick Jivinen off! Jivinen jumps back into Stevens's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Stevens bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jivinen's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jivinen holds on and takes a little breather.

Jivinen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Stevens is working Jivinen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Jake Stevens is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Stevens not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well Stevens has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
