Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Drew Peacock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Vegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegas has chosen Ace Of Spades by Motorhead as his entrance music. Johnny Vegas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Drew Peacock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Vegas!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peacock tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vegas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Vegas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Peacock.
Vegas throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Vegas swats away the attempt to clinch by Peacock.
Vegas lands a nice hook to Peacock's body. Peacock takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Vegas has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Peacock is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Despite the aggression on Vegas's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Vegas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Peacock tries to clinch but Vegas moves out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Peacock crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vegas - the referee stops the clock and Peacock gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vegas. Peacock manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vegas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Vegas swings for the body but Peacock moves out of range.

Peacock goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Peacock moves into range and clinches up with Vegas.

Vegas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Peacock pushes Vegas up against the cage in a clinch.
Peacock tries to land knees in the clinch but Vegas avoids the damage to the body.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Vegas.
Peacock is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Vegas is defending well for now.
Vegas looking to slow down the pace here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Drew Peacock will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Johnny Vegas's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looked like Peacock was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Peacock is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vegas is just riding it out for now. Peacock eventually gives up the hold.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vegas looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Peacock has picked Vegas up and slammed him! Vegas can't keep hold of the triangle and Peacock manages to pass to side control!

Peacock wants to control but Vegas is keeping him busy.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Peacock, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
