Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Williamson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eugene Peavris!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williamson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Peavris counters with a straight right hand.


It looks like Carl Williamson has been cut.
Williamson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Peavris pinned against the ropes. Peavris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Peavris connects with a single shot there.

Peavris rushes Williamson and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Peavris.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peavris lands an elbow inside.

Peavris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Peavris stops a takedown attempt from Williamson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Williamson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Williamson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Peavris after a bit of a struggle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peavris putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Williamson in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Williamson wants to take the fight to the mat but Peavris manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Peavris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Peavris stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Peavris wants it to stay on the feet.
Williamson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at ELITE FIGHTING GYM in the buildup to the fight.
Peavris with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
No luck for Williamson with that takedown attempt.
Williamson is breathing heavily.
Williamson misses with a takedown
and Peavris cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Peavris scores with a takedown into Williamson's guard.
Peavris controls from within his opponent's guard.
Williamson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peavris on the ground.

Peavris is still trying to improve position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Williamson keeping moving, preventing Peavris from controlling successfully.
Williamson wants to get back to his feet but Peavris passes into half guard.
Williamson is doing well to control the position and prevent Peavris from advancing to side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Peavris looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Peavris slips a nice elbow through Williamson's hands, connecting with Williamson's forehead.

Peavris is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Williamson is not content to let Peavris control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Peavris is taking a breather. Williamson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Peavris looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Williamson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Peavris is nestled in close to Williamson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.


Carl Williamson's cut is getting worse.
Williamson wants to get back to his feet.
Peavris throwing shots but Williamson is blocking nicely.
Williamson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Peavris.
Peavris lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.


Carl Williamson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Williamson is trying to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eugene Peavris dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A big right followed by a crushing left from Peavris knocks Williamson out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Eugene Peavris!
After winning the bout, Eugene Peavris thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
