The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mela closes this distance looking for a takedown but Andersson circles away.
Andersson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Benny Andersson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antero Mela.
Andersson lands with a right hand.
Andersson feints and then cracks Mela's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mela down.
Andersson takes a swing at Mela's ribcage but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice inside leg kick there by Andersson. That's going to slow Mela down.
Mela moves out of range of the leg kick from Andersson.
Andersson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

and Andersson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Andersson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mela momentarily.

Mela walks into a left hand.
Andersson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Andersson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mela lands a really nice looking cross but Andersson seems unphased.
Andersson tries to bum rush Mela with a series of wild strikes but Mela uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Andersson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mela sprawling to the canvas! Mela rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Andersson finish him?!

Mela is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Andersson weaves into range and cracks Mela right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Mela goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Andersson is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
