Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Colin McLauhglin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLauhglin staying out of range there.
McLauhglin works Lodano's body with a nice hook.
McLauhglin has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lodano is landing a low percentage of strikes.
McLauhglin slips a jab from Lodano.
The fighters circle momentarily. McLauhglin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
McLauhglin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.


It looks like Colin McLauhglin has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lodano. McLauhglin does a little dance to reset his feet.
McLauhglin flicks out a counter leg kick but Lodano steps away.
Lodano tries to close the distance and clinch up but McLauhglin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McLauhglin just misses with a punch to the body.
Lodano misses with an uppercut.
McLauhglin ducks right into an uppercut from Lodano.
McLauhglin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lodano connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McLauhglin scrambles back to his feet.
Lodano dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McLauhglin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like Lucas Lodano has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McLauhglin lunges at Lodano with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lodano's hand.
Lodano misses with the combination.
McLauhglin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

McLauhglin connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lodano tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McLauhglin defends well and Lodano ends up having to push McLauhglin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Lodano uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
McLauhglin connects with a leg kick. Lodano looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
McLauhglin misses with a straight left.
Lodano tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McLauhglin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lodano connects with a body shot that sends McLauhglin's belly button to the back.
Lodano throws a nice looking combination but McLauhglin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
It seemed like McLauhglin was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Lodano uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

and McLauhglin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McLauhglin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lodano.

McLauhglin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lodano.

Lodano looks to score with a jab to the body but McLauhglin is just out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lodano throws a lazy right hand but McLauhglin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A kick lands to the mid section there for McLauhglin.

McLauhglin throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McLauhglin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McLauhglin misses with a low kick.

Lodano ducks under a wild hook from McLauhglin.
Lodano scores with a sloppy right hand. McLauhglin should have avoided that one.
McLauhglin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and McLauhglin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lodano blocks a head kick by McLauhglin.

McLauhglin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lodano!

Lodano tries to bench press McLauhglin off him but McLauhglin keeps the position.

McLauhglin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lodano wants to control but McLauhglin is keeping busy.

McLauhglin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lodano defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McLauhglin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lodano keeps working.
Lodano is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at aLion's MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
McLauhglin not doing much here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Colin McLauhglin will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


McLauhglin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lodano momentarily.
McLauhglin lands a nice shot that snaps Lodano's head back.
Lodano throws a shot to the body.

McLauhglin gets tackled into the cage by Lodano. Lodano maintains the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for McLauhglin.

McLauhglin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lodano regains guard immediately.
McLauhglin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McLauhglin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Lodano wants to sweep here but McLauhglin controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McLauhglin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lodano's head.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
McLauhglin clobbers Lodano with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Lodano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McLauhglin.
It looked like Lodano was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from McLauhglin.

It looked like Lodano was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and McLauhglin counters with a straight right hand.
McLauhglin dodges the punch combination from Lodano.
Lodano shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
McLauhglin lands with an overhand left.
McLauhglin throws out a leg kick but Lodano moves out of range and McLauhglin only half commits.

McLauhglin throws out a counter right but Lodano avoids it with no problem.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McLauhglin lands a brutal head kick. Lodano looks out on his feet and McLauhglin throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

A less than humble Colin McLauhglin misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
