The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dayley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cruz circles away quickly and effectively.
Cruz chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A head kick misses from Dayley.
Cruz connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Cruz scores with a sloppy right hand. Dayley should have avoided that one.
A nice leg kick lands there from Cruz.
Both fighters circling a little - Cruz finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Cruz throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Dayley shoots in and drives through. Cruz sprawls well.
Dayley has his takedown stuffed
and Cruz counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cruz throws a right and a left that Dayley avoids nicely.
Cruz lands with a straight right. Dayley didn't see that one coming.
Dayley takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Cruz fakes the leg kick and cracks Dayley in the body.
Jose Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dayley gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cruz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Cruz plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Dayley swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Dayley face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
