Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alton Newcastle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vyrkyx Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Worm. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Newcastle checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Newcastle uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dall.
Dall misses with a low kick.
It looked like Newcastle was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dall.
Newcastle uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dall.
Newcastle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dall lands a jab to Newcastle's midsection.
Dall shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Newcastle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dall.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dall, right into the meat.
Dall throws a body punch but Newcastle moves out of range.

Newcastle has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Tōshi in the buildup to the fight.
Newcastle goes for a double leg but Dall avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dall continues to drive forward.
Vyrkyx Dall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Newcastle has Dall pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dall manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Newcastle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dall manages to avoid it.

Dall comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Newcastle misses with a looping left.
Newcastle lands a lovely overhand right.
Newcastle throws a hook but Dall avoids it easily.
Dall keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Newcastle.
Newcastle displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dall throws out the jab.

Dall lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Newcastle circles away quickly and effectively.

Dall throws the left hand but Newcastle avoids the punch easily.
Newcastle throws a hook but Dall avoids it easily.
Dall throws an overhand right that lands on Newcastle's shoulder, as Newcastle tries to avoid the shot.

Dall fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Newcastle on the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dall connects with a solid leg kick.
Dall scores with a jab to the body.
Dall takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Newcastle gets a double leg takedown into Dall's guard.
Newcastle works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Dall wants to improve his position but Newcastle is controlling well.

Dall wants to sweep but no luck.
Newcastle tries to free his leg and advance position but Dall is retaining full guard.
Dall looking to hit a scissor sweep but Newcastle is one step ahead there.
Newcastle trying to control but Dall is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Vyrkyx Dall will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dall is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Newcastle.

Newcastle decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Dall tries to roll over but Newcastle keeps him under control.

Dall lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dall sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Newcastle's guard.
Dall moves into full mount! Newcastle won't be happy about that!
Dall fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dall is pushing down on Newcastle's leg trying to pass to half guard. Newcastle is fighting to maintain full guard but Dall has managed to sneak the leg through.
Newcastle wants to improve his position but Dall is controlling well.

Dall is looking for a kimura but Newcastle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dall to get the leverage.
Dall moves into full mount! Newcastle won't be happy about that!
Newcastle bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Newcastle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dall swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dall is desperately trying to improve his position but Newcastle has a good base and remains in mount.
Dall has given up his back here. Will Newcastle look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Newcastle is cranking Dall's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Dall! He's tightened the choke and Dall is tapping out!
