Northrop has chosen Alive And Kicking as his entrance music. Randy Poffo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Russell Northrop's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russell Northrop!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Northrop catches Poffo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Poffo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Northrop digs a good body shot into Poffo's ribs.
Northrop throws a wild body kick that Poffo sees coming a mile off.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Poffo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Northrop has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Northrop and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Poffo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Northrop's head backwards.

Poffo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Northrop sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Northrop seems to have recovered his senses.
Northrop missing with a left hand there. Poffo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Poffo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Poffo throws out a leg kick but Northrop moves out of range and Poffo only half commits.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Poffo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Northrop feints a jab promting Poffo to slip. Northrop then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Poffo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Northrop bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
