PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Boskins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Patton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Keep your hands to yourself- Georgia Satellites. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dwayne Boskins!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boskins dives in and grabs Patton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Patton pushes down on Boskins's head and hops out.
George Patton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Patton forces Boskins back against the cage and clinches.
Boskins lands a nice uppercut.
Boskins goes for a takedown in the clinch but Patton prevents it.
Boskins is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Patton gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
George Patton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dwayne Boskins.
Boskins prevents a body shot from Patton.
Patton tries to work over Boskins's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Patton is fighting off a takedown attempt but Boskins is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Patton to the mat. Patton regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Patton is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Boskins presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Boskins has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Patton after a bit of a struggle.

Boskins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Patton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Boskins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Patton was covering up waiting for the punch and Boskins finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Patton has his feet on Boskins's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Boskins is trying hard to land a takedown here. Patton sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Boskins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Patton's waist but Patton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boskins off to one side.

Boskins shoots in for a double leg but Patton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Boskins wants to take the fight to the mat but Patton manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Boskins drops down looking for an ankle pick but Patton pulls his leg out and moves away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Patton digs a right hand underneath Boskins's ribcage. Boskins let out a lung full of air as it connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Patton has Boskins pressed against the cage. He pushes Boskins back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Patton throws a beautiful elbow that sends Boskins crashing to the floor! Patton piles on the pressure with more strikes! Boskins is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
