Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hannibal Barca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barca comes to the cage accompanied by Carthage. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barca dives in and scores a takedown into Scott's guard.

Lewis Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barca drops down looking for an ankle pick but Scott pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hannibal Barca will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It seemed like Scott was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barca is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Scott can do to turn this around?

and Barca counters with a big slam. Scott looks out but Barca is landing strikes to his unconscious opponent! Eventually the ref steps in to save Scott from any more punishment. A brutal conclusion to the fight!
