Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nobukazu Ishibashi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweeney closes the distance and clinches.
Sweeney tries to pull guard but Ishibashi won't allow it.
Sweeney pulls guard.
Ishibashi content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Sweeney will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sweeney manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ishibashi manages to get himself to full guard.
Ishibashi is looking to stand up but Sweeney isn't so interested in that idea.
Sweeney drops back looking for a leg! Ishibashi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ishibashi manages to kick Sweeney off! Sweeney jumps back into Ishibashi's guard.
Sweeney really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sweeney throws a big right hand that misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sweeney has gone for a leg lock! Ishibashi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sweeney's guard.
Ishibashi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Sweeney looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sweeney wants to stand but Ishibashi is controlling the position.
Sweeney pushes Ishibashi off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Sweeney clinches up against the cage.
Sweeney tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ishibashi smiles and moves away.

and Ishibashi counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Sweeney is controlling Ishibashi's trapped leg to prevent Ishibashi from advancing to side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sweeney wants to improve his position but Ishibashi is controlling well.
Ishibashi blocks the strikes from Sweeney.
Ishibashi is pressing down on Sweeney's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sweeney is holding on for now.
Sweeney has hold of Ishibashi's hands but Ishibashi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Sweeney holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Ishibashi landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Sweeney is concentrating on defense, preventing Ishibashi from advancing position.
Sweeney is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ishibashi scores with a couple of nice shots.
Sweeney is rocked!
Ishibashi scores with a big shot! Sweeney's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Sweeney! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
