Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Denis Holder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Batard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Batard!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Batard has closed the distance and engaged Holder in a clinch.
Batard has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Holder after a bit of a struggle.
Batard is trying to pull guard but Holder turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Batard stalling in the clinch.
Holder tries to pull guard but Batard holds him up against the cage and eventually Holder drops back down to his feet.
Holder swings wildly with an uppercut but Batard uses good head movement to avoid it.
Holder tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Batard just stands there and leans against the cage.
Batard tries to throw a body punch but Holder avoids it by throwing Batard back against the cage.
Holder jumps guard but Batard stands there with Holder around his waist. Holder gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Holder. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Batard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holder goes for a double leg but Batard avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Batard continues to drive forward.
Batard shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Holder as he jumps to the side.
Holder stuffs the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Batard keeps the fight on the outside.
Batard wants to counter with a clinch but Holder pushes him away.
Batard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Holder tries to avoid it but Batard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Holder to the ground. Holder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Batard rushes Holder and presses him up against the cage.
Holder is trying to pull guard but Batard has him pressed against the cage.
Batard tries to pull guard but Holder holds him up against the cage and eventually Batard drops back down to his feet.

Batard breaks from the clinch.
Holder has a takedown stuffed.

Batard moves into the clinch successfully.
Holder gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Batard avoiding damage as Holder throws knees to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Holder jumps into guard, dragging Batard to the mat.
Batard wants to pass the guard but Holder is keeping the position.
Batard wants to control from the top but Holder keeps moving.

Batard looking to improve position, pressing down on Holder's thigh with his hand. Holder seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Batard paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Batard's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Holder picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
