Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Elmo Herring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Weathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carl Weathers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Herring gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Weathers to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Herring pulls Weathers in close to prevent any damage.

Herring has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Weathers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Herring is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Herring will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Weathers wants to pass the guard but Herring is keeping the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Weathers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Herring sprawls well. Herring wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Weathers gets slowly back to his feet.

Weathers reaches up around Herring's neck trying to control. But Herring takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Weathers! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Weathers is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Herring celebrates the victory with the fans!
