PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Porfirio Francis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Andres Aguayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aguayo has chosen Kanye West - Black Skinhead as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aguayo gets tackled into the cage by Francis. Francis maintains the clinch.

Francis jumps into guard, dragging Aguayo to the mat.
Aguayo wants to stand but Francis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Francis wants to get back to his feet but Aguayo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Francis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aguayo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Francis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Francis is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Francis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Aguayo jumps into guard, dragging Francis to the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Francis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Aguayo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Francis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Aguayo scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Donk. Aguayo catches Francis right on the button with a cross.

It looks like Porfirio Francis has been cut.
Aguayo throws an off balance right hand
and Francis counters with a straight right hand.
Aguayo looks to land a right hand but Francis moved out of range.
Aguayo throws a leg kick that misses.
Aguayo closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Francis! Aguayo dives in looking to finish! Francis is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Andres Aguayo!
A relieved looking William Andres Aguayo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
