Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Von Ricther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kosuke Ishimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ishimura throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Von Ricther looks to land a right hand but Ishimura moved out of range.
A little jabbing left from Ishimura on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Von Ricther lands a lovely overhand right.
An inside leg kick lands from Von Ricther.
Von Ricther keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ishimura.
Ishimura looks to score with a jab to the body but Von Ricther is just out of range.
Von Ricther appears to be looking for a big counter.
Ishimura shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Ishimura clobbers Von Ricther with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Von Ricther wants to clinch.

Ishimura takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Von Ricther has been working on his boxing with his coaches at New York Striking Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Ishimura uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Von Ricther has time to react.
Von Ricther is looking to clinch.
Ishimura takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ishimura, as that shot connected.
Von Ricther misses with the combination.
Ishimura swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Von Ricther falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ishimura counters with a right hand to the body.
Ishimura misses with a hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Von Ricther. Ishimura does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ishimura slips under a jab.
Ishimura throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Von Ricther on the side of the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ishimura works Von Ricther's body with a nice hook.
Ishimura misses with an uppercut. Von Ricther saw that one coming.
Ishimura throws a low kick, looking for Von Ricther's leg but Von Ricther calmly moves out of range.
A slow jab from Ishimura misses its intended target.
Von Ricther ducks under a wild hook from Ishimura.
Sloppy strikes from Von Ricther. Those never looked like landing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ishimura! But no joy.

Ishimura gets tackled into the cage by Von Ricther. Von Ricther maintains the clinch.
Ishimura lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Ishimura escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Von Ricther works the jab nicely.

Von Ricther lands a left and a right that send Ishimura crashing to the mat, dazed. Von Ricther thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Ishimura is rocked!

It looks like Kosuke Ishimura has been cut.
Von Ricther tries to clinch but Ishimura is having none of it.
A nice side step and Ishimura releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Ishimura is still on wobbly legs! Can Von Ricther finish him?
Ishimura swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Von Ricther takes a swing at Ishimura's ribcage but misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Von Ricther misses the target.
Ishimura seems to have recovered his senses.
Ishimura ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Von Ricther tries to clinch but Ishimura moves out of range.
OH! Ishimura has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Von Ricther smells blood and charges in for the finish! Von Ricther unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Ishimura sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
