Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arystoteles Papas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacare Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jacare Gracie was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papas misses with a right hand
so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Papas wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Papas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Papas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Papas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Papas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Papas manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Papas's guard.

Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Papas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie.

We've been informed that Gracie has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Arystoteles Papas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Papas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gracie was covering up waiting for the punch and Papas finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Papas loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Papas could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gracie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Papas is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gracie.

Papas grimaces and holds on for a second but is forced to tap or have his arm broken! Slick Jiu Jitsu from Gracie there - Papas really paying for some sloppy defensive work!

A very excited looking Jacare Gracie rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
